Doha: The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) announced on Thursday the completion of more than 1,800 kilometers of pedestrian and cycling paths between 2020 and 2025, as part of its comprehensive strategy to enhance sustainable mobility and provide a safer road environment. The Authority said the paths are part of highway, main road, and internal road projects aimed at separating pedestrian and cyclist traffic from vehicles, thereby improving traffic safety levels and enhancing traffic flow in cities and residential areas.
