HH The Amir and Sultan of Oman Discuss Regional Developments, De-escalation Efforts

Muscat, Oman: His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and HM Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of the Sultanate of Oman, discussed developments in the region amid rising regional tensions.

The two sides exchanged today at Al Baraka Palace in Muscat, views on current developments, particularly their implications for regional security and stability, as well as their impact on energy supplies and international maritime routes.

Both leaders stressed the importance of intensifying regional and international efforts to de-escalate tensions and the need to prioritize diplomatic solutions and dialogue to resolve disputes, contributing to regional and international security and stability.

They also emphasized continued coordination and consultation on issues of mutual interest, in addition to the strong fraternal relations between the two countries and ways to further develop them across various fields.

The session was attended by HH the Personal Representative of HH The Amir Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani; HE Chief of the Amiri Diwan Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Khulaifi, and HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi, in addition to Their Excellencies senior officials.

From the Omani side, the session was attended by HH Deputy Prime Minister for Defense Affairs Shihab bin Tarik Al-Said, HH Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Theyazin bin Haitham Al-Said, and HE Minister of Diwan of Royal Court Khalid bin Hilal Al-Busaidi, in addition to Their Excellencies senior Omani officials.

Following the meeting, HH The Amir and HM Sultan of Oman held a bilateral meeting during which they exchanged views on strengthening cooperation between the two brotherly countries and discussed other matters of mutual interest.
