Doha: Qatar Museums has unveiled an extensive lineup of exhibitions, workshops, family activities and summer camps across its museums and creative spaces throughout July, offering visitors of all ages opportunities to explore Qatar’s cultural heritage and contemporary arts through immersive, hands-on experiences.

The month-long program follows the organization’s recently announced autumn and winter exhibition schedule and features a diverse range of educational and creative activities designed to inspire learning, artistic expression and cultural engagement during the summer holidays.
The Museum of Islamic Art will host one of the busiest calendars, presenting workshops on Arabic calligraphy, Islamic geometry, storytelling, literature and family activities inspired by its collections. Highlights include a monthly story time session for children, beginner and intermediate calligraphy courses covering Naskh, Ruq’ah and Nasta’liq scripts, a family day exploring Islamic woodcraft, geometry workshops for teenagers, and creative sessions centered on Islamic art.
The museum will also screen El Baisano Jalil through its Library Film Club on July 26 and host its monthly book club discussion featuring The Blue Manuscript by Sabiha Al Khemir. The program will conclude with children’s sustainability activities under the Planet Kids Club and a dedicated Arabic calligraphy art workshop.
Meanwhile, Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art will present its month-long “Beat the Heat Summer Camp 2026” from July 5 to 30. The camp will feature four themed weeks of creative workshops, exhibition tours, sculpture, filmmaking, artificial intelligence-inspired art, family activities and inclusive sessions tailored for participants with special needs.
Qatar Museums’ Archaeology Department will introduce young audiences to the country’s archaeological heritage through educational initiatives including “The Museum is Ours: Discover Archaeology” at the National Museum of Qatar and the “Dig into the Past” archaeology summer camp, organized in partnership with QC+ Membership at Liwan.
The 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum will host its Adventure Camp in collaboration with the Qatar Paralympic Committee, providing inclusive sports-based activities for children with special needs.
At M7, Qatar’s hub for innovation and entrepreneurship in design, fashion and technology, children aged between eight and 15 will have the opportunity to design and build their own patchwork table lamps as part of an interactive design workshop.
The National Museum of Qatar’s Mahara Program will offer practical workshops focusing on traditional craftsmanship, including the making of the Sunduq Al-Mubayat, a traditional Qatari travel chest, helping preserve local craft techniques for future generations.
Meanwhile, Dadu Children’s Museum of Qatar will launch the first edition of its Dadu Startup Club, an eight-week entrepreneurship program introducing children aged eight to 12 to business planning, branding, budgeting and product development through interactive, project-based learning.
Qatar Museums said the comprehensive July program aims to inspire imagination, foster creativity and strengthen visitors’ connections with Qatar’s rich cultural heritage while providing engaging educational and recreational experiences throughout the summer season.
