Doha: Katara Cultural Village Foundation has announced the launch of its 2026 Summer Camp program, offering a diverse lineup of cultural, artistic, scientific and creative activities for children and adolescents throughout July.
Month-long initiative offers children and adolescents hands-on workshops in arts, literature, heritage, science and performing arts from July 5–29
The program will run from July 5 to July 29, with activities taking place daily from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. across Katara Cultural Village. This year’s edition features 11 specialized camps designed to nurture creativity, develop practical skills and encourage young participants to engage with Qatar’s rich cultural heritage in an interactive learning environment.
The camps cater to a variety of interests and age groups, including Heritage and Traditional Crafts for Girls, Summer Thuraya for boys and girls, and The Young Actor, alongside other programs that combine education with hands-on experiences.
A key highlight of the summer program is the Literature Camp, which comprises five specialized workshops: Knights of the Arabic Language, Future Broadcaster, I Am a Poet, Story Makers, and Stage Stars. The workshops are designed to strengthen participants’ Arabic language proficiency while developing their public speaking, creative writing, storytelling, elocution and literary content creation skills.
Beyond skill development, the camps aim to foster critical thinking, teamwork and creativity while deepening participants’ appreciation of heritage and culture through engaging and enjoyable activities.
Katara has enlisted a team of specialists and instructors to guide participants throughout the program, providing opportunities to explore a wide range of disciplines in a supportive environment that builds confidence, encourages self-expression and contributes to personal development.
The foundation said the summer camps reflect Katara’s ongoing commitment to investing in young people’s leisure time through meaningful educational experiences that promote culture, creativity and innovation while empowering the next generation.
Katara has invited parents to register their children in the camps best suited to their interests, encouraging families to take advantage of the enriching out-of-school program and its unique cultural and educational experiences this summer.
