QFZ CEO and BYD Executive Vice President Stella Li discuss future collaboration as Chinese EV giant visits Business Innovation Park
Doha: HE Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Free Zones Authority (QFZ), Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Faisal Al-Thani, met with Stella Li, Executive Vice President and CEO of BYD, to discuss opportunities for future collaboration in advanced manufacturing and innovation within Qatar’s free zones.
The meeting underscored QFZ’s commitment to attracting leading global manufacturers and technology companies by showcasing its integrated industrial ecosystem, world-class infrastructure, and competitive investment environment. Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in sectors that support advanced manufacturing, innovation, and sustainable industrial development.
QFZ highlighted Qatar’s strategic location and growing role as a regional hub for global manufacturing, technology, and innovation, offering international companies access to world-class facilities and business-friendly regulations.
As part of the visit, the BYD delegation toured the Business Innovation Park, where they explored its state-of-the-art facilities, research and development capabilities, and innovation-driven ecosystem designed to accelerate the growth of high-value industries and support next-generation technologies within Qatar’s free zones.
