New bachelor’s and diploma programs align with national priorities, equipping students with applied skills in animal care, disease prevention, and veterinary support services.

The newly introduced programs are designed to strengthen national capabilities in animal health through a comprehensive applied learning approach that combines academic knowledge with practical training. Students will gain hands-on experience in animal care, disease prevention, diagnostic techniques, livestock management, and veterinary support services, preparing them to meet the evolving needs of the industry.

The initiative comes in response to priorities identified by the Ministry of Municipality and addresses the increasing demand for qualified professionals who can support veterinary services, safeguard animal welfare, and contribute to strengthening Qatar’s public health systems.

Delivered through UDST’s applied education model, the programs will equip graduates with the technical expertise and real-world experience required to contribute effectively to the veterinary and livestock sectors while meeting workforce demands.

Commenting on the launch, Dr. Shahrokh Esfandiari, Dean of the College of Health Sciences at UDST, said the new programs respond to the growing need for skilled professionals capable of supporting animal health and veterinary services across Qatar.
